ABC issued a press release today about their fall programming schedule which included an almost parenthetical mention that ESPN has a MMA series in development. There were no other details provided. One concept that might work would be to do something similar to “The Ultimate Fighter” but instead put a bunch of poker pros in a house, train them in mixed martial arts, and let them fight it out. Should ESPN decide to use the “Ultimate Poker Fighter” concept THE SAVAGE SCIENCE will be expecting a check….
