The Fox affiliate in the Twin Cities has a profile of Kaitlin Young, who’ll be Gina Carano’s opponent on the 5/31 EliteXC show:

One-woman wrecking crew Kaitlin Young is not only introducing herself to the world Saturday, May 31 on network television, but is introducing the unknowing masses to Mixed Martial Arts – from a female perspective.

She steps into the cage for Elite XC fighting league vs. American Gladiator and MMA vet Gina “Crushâ€? Carano for what could be the fight of the night — on the undercard of headliner and street sensation Kimbo Slice.

The 22-year-old University of Minnesota Kinesiology student is not fazed by the pressure and seems not to be lured by the trappings of fame; she just loves the fight and competition – though her past fights prove few have yet provided her with a challenge.

Young took off the gloves for an interview with Leif Knutson of myfox9.com at Minnesota Martial Arts Academy just days before the fight of her life and perhaps the launch of her international stardom.
