UK press on Bisping performance

The UK newspaper ‘The Sun‘ is understandably pleased with Michael Bisping’s performance at UFC 85. They also report that ‘The Count’ wants to fight Chris Leben at the UFC’s next UK show scheduled for this October:

After the fight, Bisping revealed the victory had been the best of his UFC career so far, claiming previous bouts inside the Octagon had left him feeling frustrated.

He said: “I always said I never fought to the best of my ability in the UFC.

“I think in my last fight I started to do that, and what can I say, yeah I’m happy with my performance.

The win will increase calls amongst MMA fans for Bisping to be given a big-name fight against either Rich Franklin or Nate Quarry.

But speaking exclusively to SunSport , The Count revealed he wants to be part of the next UK UFC show which is scheduled for Birmingham’s NEC in October.

A bout with Chris Leben - who was originally scheduled to face Bisping at UFC 85 before he was forced to pull out for legal reasons - seems the most likely next match up for the British fighter.
