UFC: C.B. Dollaway vs. Amir Sadollah

By Jim Murphy June 21st, 2008

This is the finals of the Ultimate Fighter TV show. They’re showing a video profile of the fighters so it’ll be a few minutes before the fight starts.

Matt Damon lookalike C.B. Dollaway comes to the ring first. Dollaway is a first rate wrestler and a generally tough dude. Amir is also a real tough dude, a likable, hardworking guy who Goldberg and Rogan compare to Forrest Griffin. Dollaway’s nickname is ‘The Doberman’ which is pretty cool. From the way they’re presenting the fight it sure looks like they want Amir to win–they cut to a ‘reaction shot’ of the aforementioned Forrest Griffin right after Bruce Buffer intros him. Speaking of Buffer, he needs to go suit shopping with brother Michael because it looks like his suit doesn’t fit right..

ROUND ONE:

Fighters circle each other warily. Dollaway throws a high kick that Amir blocks. Dollaway takes Amir down with ease, which isn’t surprising for a Division 1 All American wrestler. He’s having trouble passing guard, but now he’s making progress and ends up in side control. Dollaway back to top mount and starts working the ground and pound. Amir gets an armbar out of nowhere, and Dollaway is claiming he didn’t tap. Rogan says he saw him tap and we’re looking at the replay and he definitely taps.

AMIR SADOLLAH WINS BY TAPOUT (ARMBAR)
