MMA fighters improving boxing skills

There is a trend developing in mixed martial arts that is becoming more prevalent each day. Fighters are improving their boxing skills in an attempt to gain control of the standup game.
Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight titleholder BJ Penn relied heavily on his jab and counter-punching ability May 24 to stop Sean Sherk in three rounds. And World Extreme Cagefighting featherweight champ Urijah Faber surprised Jens Pulver with his elusive defense and overhand right during their title bout June 1.
