We give love to Cafe Reese

Cafe Reese
Cafe Reese on Portland’s NW 23rd Avenue has become our office annex over the past month. What’s not to like about the place–impeccable service, great food and coffee, plus an extensive selection of Oregon wine and beer. Indoor and outdoor dining allows us to enjoy Oregon’s all too short but brutally gorgeous summer. Only complaint is that we wished they stayed open later…otherwise Cafe Reese is arguably has the best ambiance and overall ‘vibe’ of Portland’s ubiquitous coffee and espresso places.

Cafe Reese got a lot of love from Neighborhood Notes, a local blog detailing what’s what in Portland’s many unique neighborhoods:

Having a third place is important. It’s not where you live, it’s not where you work—it’s the place you hang out. Third places are highly accessible, within walking distance for many, usually offer inexpensive food or drink, and serve as an informal “anchor” for the community it serves. A multitude of people use it for a variety of purposes: meetings, work, social gatherings or just hanging out. Most of all, a third place has to be welcoming and comfortable. But as easy as this sounds, a third place is more than the sum of these ingredients—a good example is Cafe Reese in NW Portland.

Translation: it rocks. Go there.
