The Savage Science video blog..
By Jim Murphy August 10th, 2008Why should Dana White have all of the fun? The inaugural edition of the SavSci video blog is live on YouTube! It may take us a few episodes to get all of the technical kinks out, but this will give you a behind the scenes glimpse into the production of this website. In today’s episode, join us as we enjoy a post UFC 87 meal at Dot’s Cafe in SE Portland, then walk around the Northwest Portland neighborhood surrounding the Savage Science Compound.

Now, this is a good idea you got from Dana White. Your video was entertaining and I can show it to my parents who will be visiting Portland in the Fall. Maybe by then, Homeland Security will allow visitors to the SavSci complex.

I feel like I almost saw into the ‘real’ bat cave.

Finally! A chance to put a face to the name! Thanks for the treat and I - as others have stated, cannot wait for the blow-by-blow tour of the SavSci Compound as well!
Outstanding emulation! Makes me want to do the same thing!
Cheers!

Now you can see why I was getting Japanese kids asking me for autographs thinking I was Megadeth bassist James LoMenzo during Affliction: Banned weekend….and you’ll likely be issued your own FlipVideo recorder as part of your SavSci utility belt.
The videos are surprisingly high quality for a unit that’s just a little taller and thicker than an iPod. They have a built in USB connection that just flips out of the side of the unit, and the FlipVideo editing software is integrated into the device.
Also, consider that last night’s footage was in the dark with only ambient light. Not bad for a device that costs just over a C-note.
