MMA fighters help with liver transplant…
By Jim Murphy August 23rd, 2008Actually that should be “help raise funds for liver transplant”. We here at SAVSCI have the utmost respect for fighters, but we’d still prefer a doctor to perform liver transplants. We’re old fashioned that way.
Anyway, in today’s installment of “MMA fighters are bad role models” a number of them–including one of the sport’s big enchilladas, Randy Couture–are helping raise funds for a liver transplant:
Gabe Telles is a Las Vegas resident in need of a liver transplant.
On August 23, there will be a classic car show to raise funds to get him one. There will also be food, entertainment, and an auction—plus MMA fighters, including Randy Couture, signing autographs.
Free, with donations requested. It all happens at the old Nissan dealership at 5050 West Sahara, starting at 5:30 p.m. Call 262-0569 for more information.
That would be today for those of you in the Las Vegas Valley….
