Sengoku signs Akihiro Gono
By Hoyt June 9th, 2009Nightmare of Battle is reporting that Sengoku has signed PRIDE/UFC veteran Akihiro Gono. Gono will make his debut at Sengoku IX against an opponent TBA. Gono never really found a niche in the UFC, and he’s best known for his elaborate ring entrances and his ‘DJ Gozma’ alter ego.
They also announced a fight for Sengoku IX between Kazuyuki Fujita and Blagoy Alexandre Ivanov. Ivanov became a household name in Eastern Europe and among hardcore MMA geeks for beating Fedor Emelianenko in a Combat Sambo event last year.
