MMA makes it big on ESPN

ESPN, the 24/7 poker network that hasn’t been relevant since the untimely death of hockey specialist Tom Mees over a decade ago, has finally afforded MMA the same coverage that they do boxing. The Lee Murray story makes the front page, much in the same way that Mike Tyson’s brushes with the law get featured coverage. Of course they won’t bother to give decent coverage to the fights themselves, because it doesn’t fit into their ‘take’ that MMA is a sport for degenerates and that boxing is ‘dead’. The jock sniffing, catch phrase spewing scumbags that pass for on air ‘talent’ at ESPN are too busy starting at Rafael Nadal’s muscular buttocks to notice that they decend further into self parody with each passing day. Now lets get back to coverage of the 1999 World Series of Poker Omaha Hi-Lo event for the next 9 hours. Booyah! Backbackbackbackback!
